Juneteenth celebrates the freedom of enslaved people in the United States at the end of the Civil War. June 19th has been known as Juneteenth in many parts of the United States and has been celebrated annually around the Nation since as early as 1865. 2021, President Joe Biden made history acknowledging this momentous day in our Countries history by making it an official federal holiday.
