August 20, 2021 marks the 63rd year of the Islands of Hawai'i joining the United States of America. To be a part of this amazing country. Our Islands of Hawai'i were resilient as we submitted the Statehood bill in 1919, 1935, 1947 and 1950 before finally becoming the 50th state in 1959.
We acknowledge and recognize our State's resilience and perseverance to join a great nation. We at MEI relate to that resilience and perseverance as we will remain to have our doors open during this state holiday.
